Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a very mild, preservative-free, surfactant used to increase mildness, create great flash foam, and stabilize foams and bubbles, adding to their longevity.
Cocamidopropyl betaine is made of fatty acids derived from coconut oil and blended with other elements during manufacturing, which is hydrating. It’s less drying than other surfactants. Cocamidopropyl betaine reduces the drying effects of harsher detergents in skin and hair care products.
Cocamidopropyl betaine produces a thick lather when combined with water. The lathering action helps loosen the dirt and impurities that you are washing away, so they are easier to rinse off after cleaning. Cocamidopropyl Betaine is excellent at increasing foamability in your shampoos, hand soaps, shower gels, pet shampoos, soap, and more.
Cocamidopropyl betaine can be used in both solid and liquid soaps to help increase foamability and thicken the base formula. Cocamidopropyl Betaine has strong anti-irritant properties so the feel of soaps made with Cocamidopropyl betaine is more mild on the skin. Cocamidopropyl betaine also is not affected by hard water, so soap bars and liquid soaps made using cocamidopropyl betaine are more effective in both soft and hard water environments.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a mild amphoteric surfactant, which can be widely compatible with various surfactants and compounded with other surfactants.
